The J. Robert Crouse Memorial Scholarship.
In honor of our founder’s lifelong belief in education and opportunity, the Hartland Area Project awards one scholarship each year to a local student continuing their education.
Who it’s for
Graduating Hartland-area high school seniors pursuing further education — college, university, trade, or vocational study.

How applications are reviewed
A fair process, built in.
One of Brian’s goals was to speed up and simplify evaluating applicants. The new system lets multiple reviewers score the same application independently, then records the final decision.

Recorded & awarded
Selections and approval history are retained; amounts paid are tracked for our records.
Selection records and approval history are kept in the review system. Amounts, dates, and recipients of payments are recorded in HAP’s accounting and summarized in our annual reports.
